boardgames :Gigamic's news
Adam Ritchey (born November 28, 1972 in Auburn, Alabama) is an American graphic designer, photographer, writer, musician, and game designer. Ritchey fell in love with Gigamic’s “Quarto” while in college. When a friend borrowed the game and failed to return it, Ritchey crafted a homemade version, cutting up a broom handle for the round pieces and garden stakes for the square pieces. That experience
led Ritchey to begin creating his own wood games. In the years since, he has created scores of games, most of which he gives to family and friends as one-of-a-kind gifts. The story came full circle when, in 2006, Gigamic added “Skybridge” to their family of games. Ritchey is the founder and president of InterraMedia, a graphic design and software development firm with clients around the globe. He has written three novels and, as a musician, taught himself to play over a dozen instruments. Ritchey recently taught his seven-year-old son to play Chess.
